Getting such a card is easy as all it requires are your details, identification, funds and filling an application form. The card comes with a card number, expiry date, billing address, CVV code and can be personalized or non personalized. Personally I go for the non personalized one since it is always ready for pickup. Amazon accepst Visa and Mastercard and you can use them directly. You may also purchase a gift card with it for settling your bills when shopping.
Opening an Amazon buyer's account
Amazon accepts residents from Nigeria who may want to open a buyer's account. You just have to have an email addres and use it to open a free account with Amazon. Once your account is opened, you can then easily shop at Amazon with it. You will be able to access your account and add your payment and shipping address to it or you could always do so later on when checking out.
Opening an Ebay Account or Other Online retailer Accounts and A Paypal Account for Ebay.
To buy from Ebay or many other online retailers, you need a paypal account. Fortunately, Nigerians can now own a paypal account. But you will need a valid Master card or Visa Card to verify this Paypal acount. your purchases will be charged to this card linked to your paypal account.

Buying the item

This is the next logical step after buyng your item. After you've made the payment, Amazon or the seller would also send you a tracking number in an email. You can alos log into your account and see your recent orders. You'll be abel to know when the item has shipped or not. You may also cancel your orders if it has not already shipped. After it has shipped, it completes your order and you'll be able to track it till it gets to your USA address.

Shipping to Nigeria from Amazon
After the item has been recieved at your US address and if you are using a premium US shipping account, you can then initiate a final shipping to Nigeria. You can estimate the costs using a shipping calculator based on the weight and size of your package. You will then initiate a shipping to Nigeria and you will be given an invoice after a while. Your card will be charged and your item would be shipped within 24 to 48hrs to Nigeria. It normally takes about 5 days to get to Nigeria from the USA using DHL and you can track it all the way by going to the dhl-usa.com website using their online tracking tools. Once the tool says it's out for delivery and you are in Lagos, expect to receive it that same day.
