Have you needed to log out of Facebook Messenger app on your smartphone and looked around for the logout button without any success? Me too! You couldn’t find the thing because it doesn’t exist. There is no Logout/Sign out button in Messenger. But there is a way around that. Follow these steps on your Android phone: 1. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. 2. Open ‘Messenger’ and tap ‘ Clear Data ’. This action clears your Facebook account login details. If you launch the app now, you will see that it asks you to login afresh. NOTE: You can use this same procedure to force a log out of any app that you are logged in to on your phone.

Just some couples of weeks ago, it was reported and confirmed by MTN that they lost over N5Million subscribers who refuse to register their sim afte the saga of sim blockage. Quick Solutions to Infinix Hot2 & Hot Note Top Problems

Image
I've been able to deduce lots of problem and solutions from the Infinix hot2 and Infinix hot note complain thread and I discovered that the listed questions are more paramount to a newly or existing Infinix hot 2 users.  It's important to note that Android One interface is different from normal android interface therefore you do not expect the same functionality like coming with a default music player, video play, file manager etc. It's also important to note that if you don't set up your gmail on Infinix hot2, you'll only do less from that device, therefore it is compulsory you set it up. Questions ==> Infinix Hot 2  always show error whenever I try to install OTA upgrade. Sol: It always shows error, because you have rooted your device,  do this; Reload your OS using this link and SP Flashtool. The new OS is more easier and beautiful than than the stock OS. ==> For Hot note & Pro Users Having error installing OTA upgrade , do this; The problem is...

War in Telecom Industry as NITEL Return With 4G Cheaper Data Services

Image
That awesome moment when you think Nitel is dead and gun for life, and you just woke up one morning seeing NITEL Advert again. The good news is Nitel is coming back with full force to take over the telecom industry. Not NITEL again but Nigerian Telecommunication (NTEL).  This time around, NTEL will focus on Data services at the onset; maybe the've noticed people consumed data much than they make calls. However, NATCOM Consortium, the winner of the bid for the moribund Nigerian Telecommunications Limited, is planning to roll out services next month. The consortium will launch 4G Long Term Evolution Technology (LTE) services suggesting that the revamped NITEL may focus on data services from the outset. Come next month been November, 4G data services will be launch in Lagos, Abuja and Port-Harcourt before it will finally roll out to other states. I guess the return of NITEL will even make data more cheaper and other Telecom industry seat up.  If you don't know, NITEL had broa...

Stop Android 6.0 From Saving Your Passwords To Your Google Account

Image
Android 6.0 comes with lots of new features and one of those is Smart Passwords. What does Smart Passwords do? Well it takes your passwords and syncs them to your Google Account so you never ever lose them again, ever. It sounds great, right? Google will have all your passwords and everything you use requires a Google account. It’s basically a version of ‘One Ring to rule them all’ that fits our world. The feature unfortunately is turned on by default when you upgrade to Android 6.0. In Android Lollipop a similar feature existed that saved your Wi-Fi password to your Google account. With Android 6.0 it takes things further and stores passwords entered in apps and websites. If that alarms you, here’s where you can turn the Smart Passwords off. Open the Settings app and scroll down to where you see Google. Do not go to Accounts and tap Google there. In the Personal section of settings, there is a dedicated setting for Google and that’s where you need to go. ...

14 Things You Can Do In Android Marshmallow That You Couldn't Do In Lollipop

Image
Whether you’ve put in an order for a Nexus 6P or you’re patiently waiting for Android version 6.0 to reach your Galaxy S6, you’ll want to know what Marshmallow can do for you. It’s not a dramatic leap forward for Google’s mobile OS, but there are still a number of useful new features you’re going to want to know about. Of course, unlike Apple, Google updates all its key apps independently of the OS as a whole—that means there’s not quite as much to talk about with an Android update as there is with an iOS one. At this stage (stock) Android is pretty much Google Now with a settings page and a dialer app, but Marshmallow still offers plenty of reasons to look forward to your upgrade. 1. Get Google Now on tap Google Now on Tap is the biggest new feature here and is activated with a long-press on the Home button. It’s designed to understand context better than ever before, so songs, movies, venues and the like are automatically identi...

You Can Now Login To Yahoo Mail Without A Password

Image
In pursuit of transformation or rather, ease of use, Yahoo has just revamped their email application. They introduced a new feature called Yahoo Account Key. How does this work? It basically links your account to a mobile phone. From there, you’ll be notified through push notifications to approve any new login. Your Yahoo account is linked to a mobile device, like a smartphone. When you attempt to login from a PC, Yahoo automatically discerns that you’ve already attached your account to a mobile phone. It then send a push notification to your device, through which you can approve or deny the login. The app itself is generally easier to use and faster. There’s also added support for other email accounts like Outlook, Hotmail, and AOL. (No Gmail for now.) That’s not all, the new app connects to your social networks, and grabs current pictures of your contacts. This is shown alongside your messages. Another new feature is the ability to swipe away messages for de...

The Nexus 5X unlocks faster than the iPhone 6S

Image
The Nexus 5X fingerprint sensor is faster than the iPhone 6S TouchID sensor, even though Apple's new phone is particularly fast at unlocking. SuperSaf TV on YouTube has put the two phones side by side to show off how much faster the Nexus 5X fingerprint sensor is. The video uses a mirror so you can see both the tap on the back of the Nexus 5X and the speed of the unlock on the screen. We did a comparison ourself, and also noticed that the 5X was faster than Apple's phone. Fast track in That's not to say the iPhone 6S TouchID speed is slow, but the Nexus 5X is particularly fast, and given it has the same sensor as the Nexus 6P we'd expect the same result on that phone. Having experiments with the Nexus 5X and iPhone 6S in the office, we can see that the iPhone 6S has to load the unlock screen and then a zoom-out animation before it's fully "open", while the Nexus 5X just goes straight to the home screen. Google's new phones include the Nexus Imp...

Apple Music hits the beat, plays to 6.5 million active subscribers

Image
Apple Music's free trial only ended for early adopters less than a month ago, but CEO Tim Cook has still given us an indication of the number of people who enjoyed the service enough to keep paying for it. Speaking at the WSJD Live event, Cook said that the service currently has 6.5 million paying customers, with another 8.5 million customers partaking in the trial. With big plans to improve the service in the pipeline, these numbers mean that Apple Music currently has over 15 million active users, which is an increase of four million since the start of September. There is a good chance that a good number of those 6.5 million paying customers simply forgot to cancel their Apple Music subscription, but the fact remains that the generous 3-month trial is definitely bringing in plenty of new subscribers. Given how long Spotify has taken to get to its 20 million paying subscribers, Apple's definitely moving in the right direction.

Samsung Galaxy S7 release date could be bumped to January

Image
Samsung typically announces its new Galaxy S flagships at or around MWC, which in 2016 takes place towards the end of February. But this time we might see the announcement brought forward to sometime in January. That's according to ETNews, which claims the Samsung Galaxy S7 could arrive more than a month ahead of schedule, citing 'multiple parts industry stakeholders' as their source. More specifically it appears to say that the flagship will arrive on January 19, though the translated version of the page isn't entirely clear. While this is all just a rumour for now Samsung did announce the Galaxy Note 5 a couple of weeks earlier than expected, so it is very possible that it will do the same with the Galaxy S7. Will the S7 be a foldable flagship? The report also mentions both 'premium' and 'sub-premium' versions of the phone, which lines up with recent rumours of a foldable handset coming from Samsung. That was also said to come in two vers...

Facebook Social network to warn users if they are targets of state- sponsored attacks

Image
A few years after Google implemented a similar feature for Gmail users , Facebook has announced that it will begin alerting users if it suspects that they are targets of state-sponsored attacks. This means that if Facebook believes a user’s account has either been targeted or already compromised by any attacker working on behalf of a nation-state, the network will pop a notification warning said users of the incident and instructing them to turn an additional security mechanism called “Login Approvals” that better protects their Facebook account. Login Approvals will help users prevent others from logging in to their account. Once the feature is activated, which works like a two-step authentication system, users are alerted when their Facebook account is accessed from a new device or browser. When this happens, Facebook will send a security code to your phone to ensure that only you – based on the assumption that you’re the phone’s owner – w...

PC users You Need To Stop KB 3035583 From Installing Again

Image
Starting June 2015, Microsoft aggressively began to push Windows 10 to its existing users. The push came in the form of an app called Get Windows 10. It installed with an update and appeared in the system try. It could check your system (hardware and apps) for compatibility with Windows 10 and allowed you to reserve a copy of the new operating system. The update did something else though; it also downloaded files to install Windows 10, regardless if you reserved a copy for it or not. Users suddenly found their main Windows drive short on 6GB with nothing to account for the used space. It turned out to be KB 3035583 and one other update that were responsible for the used space; it was downloading Windows files to a folder called $WINDOWS.~BT. To recover lost space, the folder had to be deleted and the updates responsible for the files had to be hidden so that they didn’t install again. Unfortunately, the update is back and very likely to install itself again unless you hide it. Her...

A few reasons why you should not update your iPhone to iOS 9.0.2

Image
A number of iPhone users who have updated their devices to this version of the OS are reporting issues with their devices. Apple built a reputation around iOS with the phrase, “it just works”. In reality, it is not always so. iOS 9.0.2 clearly seems to be riddled with bugs. Some of the problems being faced by users after updating include broken notifications, touchscreen going black or not responding, battery issues, loss of network data in certain apps, overheating during usage of some apps, and phone not turning off when required to. While iOS 9.0.2 itself was released to fix some earlier bugs, it seems to have come along with bigger issues of its own. One simple word of advice: do not update to iOS 9.0.2 yet.

Facebook finally introduces ‘dislike’ button

Image
Facebook on Friday responded to solve its users’ call for a “dislike” button, in the form of six new emoji. Speaking on the latest development, Mark Zuckerberg, Chief Executive Officer, Facebook, noted that for a long time that the feature wouldn’t be integrated in the “dislike” button that many people had asked for. Zuckerberg hinted last month that social media site was planning to expand the ‘Like button’, thereby creating more ways for people to express their feelings. He disclosed that the new development is going be in form of emojis that represent ‘Haha, Yay, Love, Wow, Sad and Angry.’ According to the CEO, similar to the Like button, the reactions will appear on any post in the news feed on mobile or desktop. The number of reactions that any post has received will sit underneath the post and users will be able to see who reacted and how.      Thus, to test run the latest development, the site will start rolling out the feature in Spain ...
